How does a Psychic Artist work?
Stephen is able to tune-in to your energies and draw the image of someone connected to you. Using clairvoyance and psychic impressions, and with the help of his guide, Stephen allows the image to develop on the paper. He does not know who the person will be when he begins drawing, but as he draws the image unfolds. He will often get information about the guide or loved one at this time.
Stephen works with his spirit guide, Robert, who is an 18th century Scottish artist. Robert has been working with Stephen since his very early clairvoyant drawings. Stephen prefers to draw with charcoal and pastel - the varied tones of charcoal gives each drawing a loose, spontaneous feel. Spirit is not static, spirit is energy, and charcoal is a perfect tool for capturing a fleeting moment of that energy.
Stephen describes how he works: “When doing a drawing, I either have the person I am reading for with me, or I focus on their photograph. I sit quietly and tune in to the person, asking my guide to come close. Then I feel empowered to draw. As I do so, the face of someone develops before me. I slowly formulate the portrait, always starting with the eyes, then nose, then mouth - building up the portrait from there. The end result is a portrait of a loved one (living or in spirit) or a guide, depending on what is needed for that person. Sometimes, the person does not recognize the portrait straight away, but it may become more clear over time. I recommend viewing my drawings in a slightly dimmed light, and focusing on the eyes. That is when they seem to really ‘speak’ to you. As with all mediums, I cannot guarantee a specific loved one will come through - I can only ask and then see who comes forward.”
